IntegraSys, a business unit of Fiserv, Inc., reports it is in the process of "refreshing" its Credit Union Business Environment (CUBE) core-processing product by using the Microsoft .NET Framework. CUBE Product Director Anne Stauch described the software refresh as being similar to remodeling a building. "Like a building that needs a few walls moved around to make it more functional for its occupants, we have used the .NET Framework to add flexible features and functions to all of the CUBE components, improve navigation and make the architecture even more open," she said.
With the refresh, CUBE's new front-end interface will provide a more intuitive navigation that requires fewer keystrokes to complete tasks. The new design uses buttons, icons and hover menus that present easily accessible options for the user.
The refresh also includes advanced database functions using XML transaction sets that will allow credit unions to easily integrate third-party systems and will seamlessly continue to support applications like Internet banking and lending, accounting applications and member relationship management (MRM) applications.
Meanwhile, among those credit unions that have recently renewed their CUBE contracts are E Federal Credit Union, MIDFLORIDA Federal Credit Union, Sharonview Federal Credit Union, and Southeast Oakland Community CU.
