ORLANDO, Fla.. – NCUA today will present a new charter for Realtors FCU, which will be an Internet-based credit union for an estimated 1.2 million members of the National Association of Realtors across the country.
Service will be provided by a 24/7 call center in addition to the Internet support, according to Michael Brodie, who will chair the start-up credit union. "Realtors Federal Credit Union will be sensitive to the work habits and lifestyles of Realtors, most of whom are independent contractors who are compensated by commissions," Brodie told The Credit Union Journal.
The Realtors group will announce the new credit union to its membership at its annual meeting today in Orlando, at which 23,000 are in attendance. NCUA Vice Chairman Rodney Hood is expected to be on hand to present the charter.
