Janitor Gets Five Months Time For $20,000 CU Burglary

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A local man was sentenced to five months in custody and five months of home detention for stealing $20,000 from MO FCU during a late-night burglary.

Corey Bender, 30, pleaded guilty to burglarizing the branch in Huron in October 2010.  Bender entered the building with a key he obtained as a janitor.

Prosecutors said he took almost $20,000 from a safe and broke a window to make it look like a forced entry.
