Johnson Named Honorary Lifetime Member of Filene

MADISON, Wis. – Just-retired CUES President Fred Johnson has been named an honorary lifetime member of Filene Research Institute.

Johnson joins the ranks of Richard “Doc” Heins, former CUNA Mutual president and CEO, and Dave Chatfield, former executive director of the Filene Research Institute, as fellow honorary lifetime members.

“Fred was one of the earliest and most ardent supporters of the vision of the Filene Research Institute,” said Filene CEO Mark Meyer. “We want to acknowledge his ideas, his contributions, his leadership, and, above all, his friendship. We will miss him, but his legacy is strong.”
