HOUSTON – A new environmentally friendly branch opened by JSC FCU features solar power, light shelves that increase ambient light and water use reduction using low-flow faucets and dual flush toilets.
The credit union said its green branch is made of green building materials, including energy-efficient glass, recycled content in building materials and the use of rapidly renewable materials.
The $1.4 billion credit union is seeking LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for the 4,000 square-foot branch.
