AACUL is a voluntary membership association for credit union leagues which are members of the Credit Union National Association.

"On behalf of the entire board, I want share my appreciation for the leadership that Wendell has provided over the past year, and we are pleased that he will continue to be an active member of AACUL,"said Kenyon in a statement. "I am honored to accept the role as Chair of AACUL and look forward to working with all of our member Leagues, CUNA CEO Jim Nussle and CUNA Mutual CEO Bob Trunzo, along with the leaders of the entire credit union system."

CUNA said that Kenyon is in her 13th year as CEO of the Montana Credit Union Network and has served on the AACUL Board since 2010. She has also held stints as the organization's Secretary, Treasurer and Second Vice Chairman.

Nussle of CUNA praised Kenyon, citing that she "has a long and deep understanding of the needs of credit unions, both in her state of Montana and across the country — the result of her work on the national level over these many years."

"In this new role as AACUL chairman, I know she will call on this experience to best serve credit unions and leagues, as they strive to best serve credit union members," Nussle added. "I look forward to working with Tracie in the coming months, reflecting the continued close partnership between CUNA and AACUL. "

With Kenyon's ascension to AACUL Chair, other board members will also move up a notch, with Minnesota CU Network CEO Mark Cummis serving as second vice chairman, Utah's Credit Unions CEO Scott Simpson as treasurer. The position of secretary will be filled by appointment.
