MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. – Kinecta FCU opened a new mortgage loan center in Mission Valley, following the opening of another center in Rancho Penasquitos in December.
The new center has 16 staffers already on board with plans to hire eight more. The $3.5-billion credit union, which also operates a Midwest mortgage center out of Chicago, is offering both residential and commercial mortgages in conforming and super jumbo categories.
The credit union said it did more than $2.7 billion in mortgage originations last year in 25 states, helping more than 6,500 members with mortgages for purchase or refinance.
Kinecta Federal’s original charter was serving employees of Hughes Aircraft Co. It is in the process of merging with NuVision FCU of Huntington Beach, which has about $1.2 billion in assets.
