BIRMINGHAM, Ala./TALLAHASSEE, Fla. And SEATAC, Wash. — The League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates will license the functionality and framework of the website of the
LSCU said its new website is expected to make its debut in April. The new website will be designed by gira{ph}, which produced the NWCUA's site.
The new site will tap elements of the NWCUA's award-winning website, but will be branded "with the LSCU look and feel," the two leagues said in a joint statement.
Patrick La Pine, president and CEO of LSCU, said NWCUA's site "has created a unique experience" for its users.
"Every time we talked about ways to engage our website visitors, we kept coming back to how the NWCUA website does it," he said. "It makes sense to partner with the NWCUA."
LSCU said its redesigned website will "engage the visitor" in the league's core areas: governmental affairs, education, cooperative initiatives, and communications. Video and social media will have a "greater presence" on the new website to "further enhance" the user's experience and also promote sharing of information.
According to LSCU, the NWCUA website has some "innovative and dynamic engagement tools that are unique to associations." Through the partnership, LSCU said its new website will have access to these tools, "further enhancing the user's engagement with the league."
"This website configuration gives members a tour of resources available, helping them to quickly find business partners and information about advocacy, compliance, professional development, foundation and philanthropic support, and community impact," said Lynn Heider, vice president, public relations and communications with NWCUA. "Once a great concept is created it makes sense for leagues to share innovative solutions, saving time, money, and other efficiencies. That action personifies what the cooperative credit union movement is all about."
LEVERAGE, an affiliate of the LSCU, will have an updated website to allow users an easier way to find the products and services. LSCU said it will be a more "friendly and engaging" site for vendors and sponsors that will show that doing business with the LSCU is a "true partnership."
Credit unions registering for LSCU events will have a "new, richer" website that will "shine through" for signature events such as the Southeast Credit Union Conference and Expo and the Southeast Leadership Development Conference, allowing for more in-depth information about the conferences.
