ALEXANDRIA, Va. – A former manager of collections at Pioneer FCU was banned from the credit union industry by NCUA Friday based on her criminal conviction of stealing almost $565,000 from the Mountain Home, Idaho, credit union.
Tammy Law was convicted in 2009 on embezzlement charges and sentenced to 46 months in federal prison and ordered to pay restitution. Law had the credit union make out checks to a collection agency she controlled, then cashed the checks.
NCUA on Friday said it banned Mia Chaney, a former employee at Magnolia FCU in Jackson, Miss., for stealing $46,063. Chaney was convicted of bank fraud last year and sentenced to 12 months in prison.
Also banned was Jolene Constantine, a former employee of Peoples 1st Choice FCU in Glen Rock, N.J.
