JANESVILE, Wis. – A former loan officer at Parker Community CU on Wednesday was sentenced to eight years behind bars for using members’ identities to take out more than $600,000 in loans for herself.
Laura Powers, 51, pleaded guilty in February to one count of theft of more than $10,000 in a business setting and four counts of identity theft.
Six other counts of identity theft were dismissed but read into the record for the purposes of restitution.
