RALEIGH, N.C. – One lucky member of Local Government Employees FCU won $1,000 from her credit union just for swiping her debit card.
Michelle Hunt was a winner in the credit union’s 25th Anniversary $25,000 “Swipestakes.”
Hunt, who works at HealthKeeperz in Pembroke, said she will use the money for travel. “I’m going to go to the mountains with my kids,” she said in a release from the credit union.
The contest celebrates the credit union’s 25 years of service. It is open to any member who swipes his or her credit union debit card to make a retail, online or other point-of-sale transaction.
A $1,000 winner will be selected each month of the promotion, which continues through Dec. 31. At the end of the promotion, two names will be selected and each will receive $25,000.
