Louisiana Credit Union League CEO to retire

Louisiana Credit Union League President and CEO Bob Gallman will retire in March.

Gallman has worked in the credit union industry for more than 45 years and has been at the helm of the league since 2017.

“From day one, Bob has been dedicated to raising the standards of what makes a trade association valuable. Under his leadership, the league has continued to emerge as one of the most respected trade associations," LCUL Chairman Sidney Parfait said in a press release. "It has been an honor and a privilege to work side by side with such an influential force in the movement."

Before being named the league’s CEO, Gallman was vice president and senior marketing officer for CUNA Mutual Group. He also held a number of leadership positions at the Cornerstone Credit Union League.

“I'm proud of what we've accomplished here in Louisiana over the past years together and to be part of such rich tradition. While I look forward to spending more time with my grandchildren, I will be eternally grateful for the relationships that were formed and find comfort in knowing that the Louisiana League has an extraordinary future," Gallman said in the press release.

The league’s board will discuss the search for Gallman’s successor at an upcoming meeting. The Louisiana Credit Union League has 134 credit union members.
