BATH, Maine – Five County CU is issuing about 3,000 new credit and debit cards after electronic security breaches involving an unnamed retailer and a processing center.
Officials with Five County said the breach involved a third party, not the credit union. Several debit cards had suspicious transactions out of Florida.
The credit union said no personal information or member money is at risk.
The proposal is part of what SEC Chairman Paul Atkins calls his "Make IPOs Great Again" agenda.

Carter Bankshares wants to widen its footprint in the Carolinas and may look to buy a bank, especially in South Carolina, where it set up a loan production office in November. The Virginia bank recently resolved a long-running dispute with a major commercial borrower.
