BARTLETT, Tenn. – A Horn Lake man who said he had been laid off from work was charged with robbing the same branch of First South CU twice with a plastic pellet gun belonging to his stepson.
David Tidwell told authorities that he robbed the credit union because he had bills to pay.
The robberies were committed July 27 and last Wednesday by a lone gunman later identified as Tidwell by tellers who were shown a series of photos of possible suspects.
Tidwell confessed to the robberies and told authorities he chose the credit union because he had an account there and, with no job, knew he couldn’t get a loan.
