Maryland’s SECU In Naming Rights Deal With Local College

TOWSON, Md.  – State Employees CU of Maryland is expected to announce a naming rights deal tomorrow for Towson University’s new $62 million arena, located about 15 miles from the credit union’s Linthicum headquarters.

SECU President Rod Staatz and Towson President Maravene Loeschke are expected to unveil a new name and logo design for the month-old arena’s basketball floor during a news conference tomorrow. The deal also calls for electronic signage featuring the logo in and outside the 5,200-seat arena, which has been known as Tiger Arena.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

SECU is Maryland’s second largest credit union with $2.6 billion in assets.
