BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – Members of T&C FCU overwhelmingly approved a proposed merger with USA FCU in nearby Auburn Hills, creating the state’s fourth-largest credit union with more than $1.2 billion in assets.

The newly created credit union will be called Genisys, after T&C’s original sponsor General Motors, and USA FCU’s original sponsor, Burroughs Corp., later part of Unisys.
Genisys CU will adopt T&C’s state charter, which allows it to serve more than three million people in nine surrounding counties.
