Members 1st FCU Donates $4,000 To Sick Athletes Fund

MECHANICSBURG, Penn. – Members 1st FCU raised $4,000 for Uplifting Athletes, a national nonprofit organization aligning college football with rare diseases and raising them as a national priority through outreach, research, education, and advocacy.

The program was founded in 2003 by a former Penn State University football player whose father was diagnosed with a rare kidney illness. Associates contributed a $5 donation to have the privilege of wearing their favorite college t-shirt, jersey or sweatshirt and jeans on a designated day.

In addition, the credit union hosted an auction/sale for associates to bid on a variety of sports memorabilia. This is the second year in a row Members 1st has been involved with Uplifting Athletes.
