The board is reviewing two internal candidates, both of whom have served as senior executives at the company for more than a decade, Members Trust said on Monday. A decision on Walker’s successor is expected to be made by the end of February.

“I’d like to express my appreciation for the opportunity to start Members Trust Company and to work with a dedicated, accomplished and seasoned team of professionals,” Walker said in a statement.

Walker has led the company since it was founded in 1987. Jonathan Rich, chairman of Members Trust, noted that during Walker’s three-decade tenure, the company has grown to nearly $3 billion in trust and investment assets under management.

Members Trust provides trust and investment services to credit union members and private clients throughout the U.S.
