COQUILLE, Ore. – Oregon First Community CU has completed the merger of SOFCU Community CU, creating a credit union with $710 million in assets and 30 branches serving more than 70,000 members.
SOFCU is based in nearby Grants Pass, Ore., and was chartered as Josephine County Teachers CU. SOFCU has participated in three previous mergers.
Oregon First Community CU has been part of seven previous mergers since 1971.
