JOHNSTOWN, Penn. — MERHO FCU, the former Mercy Hospital employees' credit union, announced the death Wednesday evening of Clyde Mintmier, its president and chairman of the board who helped charter the now $50 million-asset credit union in 1972.
Mintmier served as vice president from the founding of the credit union until March 27, 1983, when he was named president and CEO.
Mintmier, a lifelong resident of Johnstown, was 73.
