Meridian Trust FCU Outsources Core System with Symitar EASE

Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union in Cheyenne, Wyo., will migrate to EASE, an outsourced delivery model of the Symitar Episys core platform.

Meridian decided to migrate to an outsourced delivery model for its core processing system to eliminate the need to dedicate resources to hardware and software maintenance, it said in a press release.

EASE enables the credit union to "make great progress" toward providing its members with the "best banking experience with products and solutions that support every aspect of their financial lives" by "fast-tracking our technology wish list and freeing our IT team to do what they do best," Karen Woodul, senior vice president of Meridian Trust, said in the release.

EASE enables Meridian Trust to add various features on its multi-year plan, including consolidating its mobile banking, online banking and mobile app. The credit union has expedited its implementation of Advanced Reporting for Credit Unions to access member data and launch a member-focused initiative such as a credit card rewards program. It also added Refi Analyzer, which helps members reduce their interest rates through near-real-time analysis of credit reports to identify loan refinance opportunities.

Meridian Trust first partnered with Symitar in 2010 when it converted to Episys through an in-house delivery model.
