Michigan CU Figure Ends 50 Years In The Movement

PARCHMENT, Mich. – First Community FCU said Diana Nash, former chairman of its board, is retiring after 50 years serving the credit union movement.

Nash started her career in credit unions with Parchment Employees FCU in 1960, where she worked as a clerk and collector until 1975. She then worked with credit unions in Michigan and Texas for the next 30 years, eventually serving as president of Steelcase Employees CU. She was the first female to chair the Michigan CU League.

She joined the board of First Community FCU in 2002 and became its chair in 2003 as the credit union was growing to almost $500 million in assets.
