Michigan First CU Opens In-Store Branch In Meijer

LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich. – Michigan First CU will open its first in-store branch today in the Meijer’s in nearby Fraser.

The Meijer branch will offer technologically advanced features, including computer kiosks available 24 hours a day, seven days a week where members can perform virtually any banking transaction, from opening new accounts to making loan payments.

The branch will also include Michigan First's MoneyWorksBanking Center, which features advanced ATMs that allow users to deposit cash and checks without envelopes; cash checks to the penny, choose the denomination of money being withdrawn (singles, tens, twenties, etc.); and deposit coins directly into checking or savings accounts.

It will also feature a high-speed coin counter -- a free service to Michigan First members -- that can count 3,000 coins per minute. The MoneyWorks and high-speed coin counter machines will also be available 24/7.
