- FREEPORT, Ill. (12/07/01) MICRO SWITCH Employees CreditUnion is making a major switch. The CU is changing its name toCornerstone Credit Union, effective Dec. 10, because its originalsponsor no longer exists and its FOM has expanded to include twonorthern Illinois counties and various SEGs. The $57.7-million CUsaid it spent 18 months researching the new name. Cornerstone CUwill become the fourth CU in the U.S. to use that name.
