Redding, Calif.—Mark Moore has stepped down as the chief executive officer of Members 1st Credit Union on Jan. 31 after serving in that role for almost 24 years.
Moore, who resigned on Jan. 31, was succeeded by president and chief financial officer Teri Vanderpol. Meanwhile, vice president of operations Judi Bartholomew has been promoted to executive vice president at the $161 million institution.
Vanderpol began working with Members 1st in 1993 as a bookkeeper, and has served as vice president of finance, vice president of human resources, executive vice president, and president-CFO.
Members 1st noted during Moore's tenure, the CU has grown from having just six employees and $12 million in assets to 56 employees and more than $161 million in assets.
"Mark has a talent to see what is coming down the road," Board Chair Ricki Miller said in a statement. "He has been visionary in creating and modifying products and services to best serve our members while helping the credit union thrive."
Moore said that he considers branch expansion and the continuation of "excellent member service" to be his most "meaningful accomplishments" as chief executive.
