WEST JORDAN, Utah Mountain America CU said it has added paperless origination to its Quick Close mortgage process.
The $3.5-billion credit union said prospective homebuyers now can apply for their mortgages online, uploading all key application documents such as paystubs and tax information via their own computers. At closing, members can view and sign documents electronically from home.
“There is no need to call or come into the branch to start a mortgage any more,” said Amy Moser, vice president of mortgage services. “One click can put members on the path to home ownership. With paperless origination now combined with Quick Close, our members are saving more time than ever during the traditionally hectic home-buying experience.”
MACU said its Quick Close secure paperless mortgage process eliminates the typical stack of papers to be signed, as only one digital signature is required at the title office after the buyer has had the opportunity to review the documents electronically at home.
At closing, only a handful of documents are printed, and the rest are securely stored for the buyer on a flash drive. Quick Close can provide online access to documents after closing, if needed.
MACU said its Quick Close is powered by Stewart’s SureClose transaction management system.
