Mountain America CU Launches Datacards Instant Card Issuance

SALT LAKE CITY – Mountain America CU is piloting a new instant card issuance technology offered by Datacard Group.

Mountain America uses the Datacard RP90i financial card printer, which offers security features that meet established specifications for the instant issuance of Visa cards. The RP90i card printer delivers full-color retransfer printing with over-the-edge coverage, enabling the production of unique designs to help build member loyalty.
Datacard developed, implemented and supported instant card issuance software that is integrated with Mountain America’s existing Symitar host system, and is also interfaced with Pemco, a payment solutions company, for card activation.

The system replaces another instant card issuing solution deployed by the $2.8 billion credit union.

Datacard Group is based in Minnetonka, Minn.
