VIENNA, Va. – Navy FCU said it has become a member of NACHA, making it the 25th direct financial institution member of the National Automated Clearing House Association.

NACHA, which has 25 financial institution and 19 regional payment groups members, oversees and sets the rules for the nation’s automated clearing house networks, which cleared more than 18 bill transactions in 2007.
Navy Fed said it feels it is the $35 billion credit union’s responsibility to work at the highest levels to ensure the ACH network continues to provide high payment efficiencies and low risk to all participants.
