NCUA, AARP to Host Web Presentation on Elder Abuse

NCUA and AARP will host an online presentation for consumers and credit unions on how to prevent elder financial abuse.

The free webinar will help users learn to identify frauds and scams, provide techniques for prevention and offer guidance for how elders should safely conduct online transactions.

The NCUA's webinar will be held June 24 at 2 p.m. ET. Users can register at www.aarp.org/about-aarp/events/webinars/.

The NCUA and AARP last year formed a partnership to provide a series of events on promoting financial education.
