NCUA approved two of the broadest community charters ever for FCUs, OK'ing $800-million Central Florida Educators FCU, Orlando, to serve almost two-million residents in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake counties; and $90-million Tri Boro FCU in Munhall, Penn. to serve about 1.5-million residents in Washington and Allegheny counties, including the city of Pittsburgh. The community charters were the first approved by the full NCUA board in almost a year.
