NCUA has scheduled two training events this summer, one on regulatory compliance and the other on federal contracting for minority and women business owners.
The first session on regulatory compliance is a webinar slated for July 21 at 2 p.m. ET. The seminar, titled "Fine-Tuning Your Compliance Program: Common Compliance Violations," is designed to help credit unions navigate common compliance issues and examine various compliance issues of interest, according to the NCUA.
The compliance session will be hosted by Diane Rector, training manager with NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives, and Kathryn Baxter, program manager with the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives.
The second seminar on federal contracting will be held on Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m., to 3:30 p.m., at the Arlington, Va., campus of George Mason University. The session is intended to help credit unions provide assistance to women- and minority-owned businesses in responding to federal-contracting opportunities.
The federal contracting session will be presented by the NCUA in partnership with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Reserve System, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Treasury Department, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Federal Housing Finance Agency and Securities and Exchange Commission
Both sessions require advance registration through NCUA.
