ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA will host an upcoming 90-minute webinar for credit unions that are considering participation lending.
The webinar, called "Participation Lending in a Safe and Sound Manner," is scheduled to begin at 2 pm (EDT) on Sept. 16 and participants can register online.
The webinar will be presented by Vanessa Lowe, economic development specialist with NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives; Mike Dorsett, president of Portfolio Performance LLC; and Ian Lampl, chief executive officer of LoanStreet.
They will discuss issues related to participation lending including: the benefits of participation lending for buyers and sellers; the three levels of due diligence for participation buyers; buyer and seller side case studies; and participation solutions in partnership with corporate credit unions.
