NCUA To Testify Before Congress On State Of The Industry

WASHINGTON – NCUA Chairman Deborah Matz will join other regulators next week to testify before the Senate Banking Committee on the state of the banking industry.

The credit union regulator will be joined at Wednesday's hearing by Sheila Bair, chairman of the FDIC; John Dugan, Comptroller of the Currency; Daniel Tarullo, a Federal Reserve Board governor; Timothy Ward, director of examinations for the Office of Thrift Supervision and Joseph Smith, North Carolina Commissioner of Banks and chairman of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors.
