ALEXANDRIA, Va. – NCUA Chairman Deborah Matz has hired Steve Bosack, a well-known figure around credit unions, as her chief of staff, the agency said yesterday.

Bosack served as Matz’s top aide during her first stint on the NCUA Board, from 2002 to 2005, and since then has been deputy director of the National CU Foundation, the charitable arm for CUNA and the leagues.
Bosack also served as director of public communications for CUNA and worked as a journalist for the Credit Union Times.
