New Hampshire CUs To Combine

MANCHESTER, N.H. - (05/24/06) -- Bellweather Community CU announcedit has agreed to merge with Compass CU to create the state's fourthlargest credit union. The new entity will have almost $300 millionin assets and serve 19,000 members. Bellweather Community CU, withmore than $260 million in assets, was formerly known as TelephoneWorkers CU of New Hampshire and is one of the few credit unions inthe country to claim a statewide field of membership. Compass CUwas formerly known Cathedral CU and has more than $30 million inassets.
