ROCHESTER, N.Y. – ESL FCU, still unpacking from its move into its new headquarters, opened its first downtown branch in this upstate New York city this week as part of the $52 million project.
The $4 billion credit union, New York’s biggest, did not have branch services at its old offices in nearby Irondequoit. The location featured a drop box and an ATM, but no actual branch and no access by the public.
The rest of the ESL headquarters will open officially with a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 20.
