'Night On The Town' Rolls Out

Looking to boost debit card usage, MasterCard has launched a "Priceless Night on the Town" sweepstakes that seeks to build on its "priceless" ad campaign. The card association said that nearly 250 financial institutions have signed on to participate. During the sweeps, consumers will automatically be entered for a chance to win a night on the town anywhere in the United States by using their debit MasterCard card for qualified purchases between April 1 and May 31, 2003. MasterCard will award 100 winners the "Priceless Night on the Town" grand prize ($2,500 value), while 1,000 First Prize winners will receive a $200 prepaid MasterCard Gift Card.

Mass market advertising will support the campaign, and participating financials can also order support materials. In addition, participating financial institutions supporting the sweepstakes via one or more of the previously described marketing materials will also be included in a complementary promotional campaign and will be guaranteed one $200 prepaid MasterCard Gift Card prize.
