No Dressing Up A Pig – Or Big Banks

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky FCU has been dressing up city billboards, in-branch signs, postcards and buttons with a big kiss – and the tagline “lipstick on a bank.”

The new campaign, which features a big red lipstick mark and lip balm giveaways, was designed to promote how the local credit union is a “better value” than a bank. The microsite promoting the campaign, at www.lipstickonabank.com, is designed to be simple and easy to follow, and promote membership, checking and loans.

“When you see a billboard that simply says ‘lipstickonabank.com’ with bright pink lipstick marks…that will get your attention,” said Greg Baker, vice president sales and marketing for the $420-million credit union. “We have had several people write us and say they went to the microsite after they saw the billboards, and they love it.”
