North Carolina CUs Expected To Reopen Today

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A number of credit unions in this state will be looking to re-open today after closing Wednesday and Thursday due to the heavy rains from Tropical Storm Nicole that have moved on to the northeastern U.S.

The North Carolina league reported that while there has been widespread flooding, no damage to property or injuries has been reported by the state’s credit unions. Up to 20 inches of rain has hit portions of the state.

"For the most part major roads are OK, however it is the side roads that are the concern," East Coast CU President/CEO Lisa Pope told the league.
