RALEIGH, N.C. – The Raleigh City Council voted approval yesterday of a preliminary site plan for a 12-story, mixed-use building that State Employees CU plans to construct downtown.
The 238,000-square-foot building and parking lot will be located on the west side of Salisbury Street, adjacent to the State of North Carolina's Green Square project and will be one of the biggest credit union projects ever.
The project will include 84,606 square feet of office space for the credit union, a 5,900-foot branch on the ground floor, 31 residential units and an eight-level parking deck with 165 spaces.
The project will replace the credit union’s current 15,000 square-foot home, which was built in 1962.
