RALEIGH, N.C. – State Employees’ CU said its charitable foundation has contributed $2 million to Winston-Salem’s hospital guest house project.
The grant by the SECU Foundation leaves the project only about $1 million shy of its $6 million goal to begin building a 40-plus-room facility adjacent to the Hospice campus in Winston-Salem. It will provide lodging to families of patients at Forsyth Medical Center, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
The facility will be known as the SECU Family House on the Josh and Marie Reynolds Campus, reflecting the SECU grant and an earlier $1 million grant from the Richard J. Reynolds III and Marie M. Reynolds Foundation.
