SaveUp rewards users each time they contribute to their savings or retirement accounts, pay down credit cards, mortgages or other loans, or engage with SaveUp’s financial education content. For each positive financial activity, SaveUp users earn credits that can be redeemed for the opportunity to win prizes.

“We see SaveUp as a great tool for our members that is both fun and educational, and it further demonstrates our commitment to helping our members meet their financial goals,” said Peter Kavalauskas, president of the $700-million credit union.

Northeast is one of 20 credit unions piloting the new program in conjunction with SaveUp and The Filene Research Institute, which will study is affects on consumers and credit union.
