ROME, Ga. – Northwest Georgia CU yesterday announced that Cheryl Huffman, its president, is retiring after 25 years with the credit union – where she began work as a teller.

She quickly moved up the corporate ladder, first to collections manager, then to president and CEO just two years after going to work there. She served as president at $47 million credit union for the past 22 years.
Huffman is taking a newly created position at Berry College: customer service manager in the enrollment management division.
