NOTRE DAME, Ind. Notre Dame FCU said its promotion to save members money by transferring their existing credit card loans to a Notre Dame FCU Visa Platinum credit card at 0% for six months and 7.9% thereafter attracted $3.2 million in new loans.
The credit union’s “Great Escape” promotion ran for 17 weeks. One participating member won a $5,000 grand prize “Great Escape” to an exotic location of her choice, and other participants won $2,000 weekend getaway and new iPad.
The Great Escape eligibility parameters required employees to acquire a minimum of $25,000 in balance transfers to be eligible for the second prize and a minimum of $50,000 in balance transfers to be eligible for the grand prize.
