Southeast Offers Help With Plans
JACKSON, Miss.–Leaders of CUs in the hurricane-prone southeast got lessons in prepration as part of “Build A Plan in a Day” Business Continuity workshop hosted by Southeast Corporate and conducted by the corporate’s VP of Business Continuity, Ken Schroeder. With an emphasis on putting more structure around their existing business continuity efforts, participants worked with Schroeder on computers, completing a series of Business Continuity using provided templates. Southeast Corporate also provided attendees with both a CD and booklet to assist in their planning. One goal: help smaller CUs strained for staff to handle planning and implementation to accomplish both. Earlier, Southeast also helped smaller CUs to apply for grants from NCUA to pay for their registration.

ICUL Service Corp. Rebates $460K
NAPERVILLE, Ill.–The Illinois CU League Service Corp. reported it rebated more than $460,000 to the 1,226 credit unions that were participants in its products and services during the 2007 calendar year. It is the largest amount ever rebated by LSC, which has refunded more than $2.5 million since 2000. Overall, LSC currently has agreements with leagues in 44 states to provide these and other LSC products and services.
LSI Processes 3Mth Transaction
ELGIN, Ill.–Lending Solutions Inc. (LSI) reported it has now processed its three-millionth loan application through its 24/7 contact center, the National Loan Processing Center (NLPC). The application was processed for long-time LSI client, Keys FCU in Key West, Fla.

Clayco Selected By Marshall CCU
EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich.–Clayco Inc. is design-building a new 5,800-square-foot branch for Marshall Community CU here. While also completing the interior finish for the new branch, Clayco is designing this second facility to serve as a complete full-service location that will feature flat-screen monitors, advertising kiosks, an inside remote teller system, and a drive-up line that emulates the remote teller system inside the branch.
