ORLANDO, Fla. - Oberthur Technologies, a smart card and contactless card technology provider, won the 2008 award for Outstanding Smart Card Achievement (OSCA) from the Smart Card Alliance (SCA).
The SCA is a not-for-profit, multi-industry association working to stimulate the understanding, adoption, use and widespread application of smart card technology. The award was announced during CTST’s 2008 annual conference here last week.
The OSCA is given to companies that have demonstrated outstanding achievements or shown exceptional leadership that significantly impacts the North American smart card marketplace, the SCA said.
“The OSCA award is recognition of Oberthur Technologies’ commitment to innovation and service excellence in the payment, mobile and ID markets,” Martin Ferenczi, CEO of the Oberthur Technologies’ Card Systems division for the Americas Region, said in a release.
