COLLEGEVILLE, Penn. — Superior Credit Union has launched a number of new products aimed at members with pets, along with an accompanying website.

Superior is offering a savings account that pays 5% APY on the first $500, in addition to a "PAWS Loans" for pets. Members are being asked to bring in a photo of their favorite pet when opening the accounts. The $37-million CU also encourages members to bring their pets with them into one of its three offices.
The Cleveland-based bank is projecting steady growth in net interest income even as credit losses remain manageable. But Chairman and CEO Chris Gorman also said that he thinks a recession is likely.
