Oregon City Spreads Municipal Deposits To Local CUs And Banks

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Mayor Denny Doyle presented ceremonial checks Friday to three local credit unions and four banks representing a total of $1.7 million of city funds–$240,000 each-- being deposited in those institutions.

The local institutions receiving the muni deposits are:  Northwest Community CU, On-Point Community CU, Unitus Community CU, Columbia Community Bank, Pacific Continental Bank, Umpqua Bank, and West Coast Bank.

“By partnering with local banks, we can help make resources available to support community reinvestment efforts,” said Mayor Doyle.

The muni deposits is one of several recent announcements by the City to expand resources and support for the City’s business community. Other recent announcements have included the launch of the Main Street Program and the adoption of a Small Business Incentive Program.
