PenFed in Virginia Hires Industry Vet for Chief of Staff

A behind-the-scenes credit union veteran will go from being NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz’ right-hand man to serving in a similar position for Pentagon FCU CEO James Schenck.

Steve Bosack will join the $20 billion-asset credit union as chief of staff on May 23, according to a Friday news release. He is currently finishing his second term at the National Credit Union Administration, as chief of staff to chairman Debbie Matz.

Bosack has worked at NCUA for nine years and has spent four as deputy director of the National Credit Union Foundation in Washington, D.C. He previously served as vice president of public relations and information services at Credit Union National Association for 10 years.

"After 26 years at the national level of the credit union system, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join a global credit union leader," Bosack said in the release.
