WEST KELSO, Wash. – A robber who lined up employees of Fibre FCU and pepper-sprayed them in the face before escaping with a bag of cash was sentenced last week to 36 years in prison.

Ely Krouse, 28, is also believed to have robbed two other banks, including a Bank of America branch just hours after the credit union incident.
Krouse confessed to being the assailant who walked into the credit union on May 13, 2008 with a semiautomatic handgun, lining up its employees against a wall and pepper-spraying them in the face, then telling them all to ‘have a nice day’ on his way out the door.
